RamAirZ (Dallas Scott) BAD BAD BAD SELLER !!!!

Well this has gone on far too long for me not to say something. Here is the story:

**There are spark notes at the bottem for those who dont want to read my dissertation**

I bought a set of 3rd gen LS1 conversion longtubes that he made for $550 in March of 2005. He told me that they needed to be sent out to ACS to be coated and it would take 2 weeks. I agreed. 2 weeks came along and ACS never sent them back to RamAirZ (Dallas Scott). ACS couldnt get them coated because there was a slowage in work or something. So a month goes by two months go by 3 months go by, more bullsh*t. ACS lost the headers, ACS has the headers in some guys garage. The guy who has the Headers dissapeard. So from what I gather, Dallas sent them to get coated, ACS gave them to this guy to send back to dallas and he dissapeard with them. I was cooperative the entire time. I contacted ACS myself and told me the same story. A couple more months go by and I hear nothing from ACS or Dallas. I always kept sending him messages and he was always moving and couldnt get to a computer for 2 weeks. I gave up on it and bought differnt headers, and told Dallas that I want my money back. He cried poor, and even offerd him a payment plan of 100 bucks or 50 bucks at a time, and agreed. Never heard from him again. I sent him two messages that he has not read. I had to go to outside sources to get his phone number and left him a message, and he never returned the call. Im am really pissed because I was about as understanding as anyone could be and he was persistant on not being cooperative and always passing to blame. So right now its 6 months later and I am out $550 dollars. I have documentation of all our PM's and the Paypal payment to Dalls Scott, and I am going to call the police very soon. Mods I would recommend you take some sort of action against Dallas (dont ban him because thats one of the only ways I can contact him). For everyone who was in this situation, what plan of action did you take, who did you call?

Spark Notes:
-Sent $550 to dallas for 3rd gen LS1 headers in March of 05
-Dallas sent them to get coated
-Headers didnt show for several months
-I told Dallas I wanted my money back, offerd a payment plan, he agreed
-Never heard from him again, sent 2 messages and phone call that wasnt returned.
-About to call police (have PM and Paypal documentation)

Thanks again.

Chris

It's best to pay by credit card when possible, then when things like this happen you can call the cc company and get your money back. Good Luck

It was paid from my checking account. I dont have any credit cards. I wish I just had time to take some action, but with college Im always busy. I hope there isnt some sort of statute of limitations on this. If I can get a free weekend Im going to try and get a hold of my lawyer.

Sorry to hear about that man, but it is good to know im not the only one here. This weekend I will try to get a hold of my lawyer. Im sure there is some way we can go in this as a group thing. I do have his cell phone number and I called it but there was no answer. If you have all that info thats good. After I get a hold of my lawyer I will give you a call.

that would be great.

ive already started to look into the legal aspects of it... it would have to be done in Florida... but florida allows lawyers in small claims court, so it isnt too hard to setup..

after you talk to him, PLEASE give me a call...

Ok for everyone reading this, I'm not getting into my personal life history but BOTH of the people involved have received cashiers checks for the total payment back. Chris already made a post about it. I was without computer and phone for awhile going through some major personal issues. I am very sorry for the inconvience that was caused to both Chris and Travis. I have never had complications before this. I don't post here much anymore but again, I gave both parties full refund
