So I've gotten two pm's now directly without a post in my WTB thread first. These two people are fresh into registering (DEC 2016) and have 0 posts.
First person said to contact them by email if I was interested and had no information what so ever of what they had or a price. Second one which I just got has no information on the items or price either.
Both screams scammer if you ask me. Not even going to bother responding back.
Anyone else seeing an increase in this?

I've been approached by scammers going after my Wanted Ads on this board more than any other board. One earlier this week in fact by this guy....https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/member.php?u=199100
It's funny when the story starts to roll & they send you pictures of seats for the wrong year or of a t-ram that's here on the board.
It must work on occasion - otherwise they wouldn't try.

Admins should close and ban these people.

I had it happen to me a few years ago. As Drew said, just notify the admins and they'll block 'em.

There is only so much you can do.
Assuming a admin went to town to kill a spammer this is what they would do.
Ban the username
Ban the IP address.
Thats great, the username is now banned, and the IP address is blocked, so they can never post again.
You know what the scammer does? He gets a new IP address, creates a new user account, and starts scamming again.
The process repeats.
Even if you went so far, and had enough leverage to contact the scammer's ISP, who's to say the scammer can't get ANOTHER ISP and try again.
So it really is a case of diminishing returns, only so far you can go.
If you want to go any further then you would have to get the IP information, then have the authorities get the contact information of the customer from the ISP, so you could press charges.
