The Vert went in

To the shop today to get the new top on.

after we took it to the ship we picked up its new rims from the tireshop. Its getting 91-92 Z rims instead of the painted black iroc rims that were on it.

Yea well at that time things were going good for us.

Oh currently my 87 Is off the market, My brother in law finally showed his face over here this last weekend to HELP put together the engine only to find out we were missing bolts. So I made a summit order & they should be in tomorrow.

But if you are looking for an engine for your Birdy, Dan may let go of his 327 that he has for his truck if it sells & no one wants the engine, Plus he has a 355 block that needs to be rebuilt sitting in the garage.

That is good to hear you are making progress on the 87! No, I have a good running 97 or so truck 350 in my Bird right now, not really on the market. Though I am still interest in some grey Camaro seats

I will talk to him after we get the Camaro back. which should be in the next couple days or so. Depending on the weather, the guy is going to keep it in his shop if the weather gets bad.

if nothing else there is the big Puyallup swapmeet coming up next month there are always seats there.
I may have a booth there too with all my 3rd gen stuff.

Did you get a top from topsonline.com or where? Make sure you post pictures when it's done, it's gonna look 10x better with a new top!

I think they got it from Robbins. They use the Stayfast(???) tops as well, the good tops. I dont know where the shop got it from.
The wheels that were on the 71

just got the rubber swapped on them that way they will fit on the 89

Will post pics once we get teh car back & the weather clears (suppose to get snow tonight & tomorrow plus ICEY COLD weather until MONDAY, so the guy is going to keep the car until we can pick it up)

Sweet deal. I'm sure it'll look great.

What are you gonna do as far as interiot? Leather maybe?

Did I tell you, I'm gonna be bringing home another 3rd gen hopefully Friday or Saturday? It's for my girlfriend

We dont know yet what we are going to do with the interior.

My hsuband is thinking about trying to get or do a set of seats in black with Dark (almost black) Purple piping. They were stock for his 87 Roc when he had it. The cars are the same color on the exterior. All I know is the gray is going. If he does this it means that almost all the cars we have on the place will have Black interiors all But my ROC which has the light saddle interior (& ITS STAYING THAT WAY)

Yea I saw your thread on Z28.

That's awesome. The black would look good for sure

Is the "light saddle" the tan interior? The IROC Krista is getting has the tan cloth interior. It's really nice, has the camaro flashlight and the t top overhead consule.

Anyways, I can't wait to see some pics of the vert.

Well got a phone call today & part of the plastic that helps move the vert top was melted so the guy ordered it & it will be in tomorrow.

Which is kewl with me because we have about 6 inches of snow on the ground right now. & its going to freeze tonight.

I called yesterday & they the car should be done on monday which is great for me because OH I dont have to work lol.

He did say that the whole weather stripping needs to be replaced somewhere down the road. I called one of the local dealerships & find out they were discount. & I saw one on ebay but they want like 600 for it.

car is back from the shop braved the weather & went to go get it today.

went to take pics of the car & my husband had it in side the garage on jack stands because the tranny was leaking really bad (lose tranny pan bolts)

There is a couple minor problems with the car right now & thats mainly the doors are out of wack. drivers side door needs pins (yes we know how to do that) & the pax window needs to be adjested.

Plus the weatherstripping needs to be replaced really bad really soon.
