Project Update
As of you know me and my dad are doing a basic restoration/upgrade to his tired 88 Iroc Vert. We call it out 1 years restoration spread over 5 years. The car has been sitting since 04 with 171k miles on the ticker. All original everything. So far our plans are to repaint it the original color red, replace the engine with a GM replacement block or rebuild the original engine, convert it to a 5 speed, and redo the interior to the original red.
It took us 2 1/2 years to get this far because I am going to college and my dad never has time to work on it. So far we stripped the car, put epoxy primer on it, and filled the minor dings and dents. The car is surprisingly VERY solid.
My plan was to have it in primer this weekend but its suppose to rain. Maybe next weekend.
What do you think? And is there anything else you would do differently?

Re: Project Update
I know how you feel. My 6 month 'fix the car from the wreck and repaint' has been going on close to 4 years.
Looking good so far!
