Re: convertible replacement top with glass window?
I've been driving my sisters 'vert with the glass rear window. It does catch on the top of the back seats. I didn't think to fold the seats forward, I just lift up a little on the top to help in and out of the storage space.
I definitely appreciate the tinted glass at night though!

No issues there
the issue is bringing the top up from the stowed position... and it just catches the top of the seats. My father has one too.... it is a very nice top

I had the Stayfast top with real glass window installed and I am very happy with the look and results. Smaller window to look out of but at least it will last longer and stay clear. Still able to see out the back and no problems. Drove on a long trip with snow and sleet and was able to wipe off without fear of brittleness or cracking. Should last for years!

I bought the top from topsonline and I ordered the rubber seal from classic industries as tops on line was out of stock...I paid right around $475 for the real glass top.

Re: convertible replacement top with glass window?
I love the look of your top with the glass window. My '91 has a plastic window and is hazing and I can't see through it. It the replacement a difficult job? I was quoted 6 hours and $470 in labor to do the job.
A i bought it, with the first pass of plastic buffing.
After buffing, but still hazing and not able to see clearly out.

Just go with the glass top, simply you will be much happier. Though I paid $300 for installation it was well worth it. I expect for the top to last for years...
The last top I had installed had a plastic window, the only reason I had it installed was because it came with the car when I bought it but due to the Colorado Sun, hail damage and snowy winters the plastic window simply did not hold up and less than five years I had to replace it...the stayfast top was still in great shape it was the plastic window taht broke down.
The glass tope with the stayfast with the glass is still in great shape four years after installation and the car does not get garaged-it is out side all year (daily driver). Cannot recommend the glass top enough!

Re: convertible replacement top with glass window?
I have two Firebird/TA convertibles, and I hate the hazy rear windows!
Is this the best URL to buy from?
https://www.topsonline.com/model/Con..._Trans_Am.html
if anyone has other purchasing options for the glass top replacement (91 & 92 TA/FB), I'd appreciate seeing those also.
Much appreciated!

Re: convertible replacement top with glass window?
Yup Topsonline is where I bought mine too. I picked mine up and had it installed in 2012. Looked at the site and they still offer the glass style. My 88 IROC lives outside and with the winters and cold in Colorado the glass window is not only clear all the time but I can scrape the snow, ice and frost from the back window... Never yellows and never cloudy from age.
