Undrilled nos front seatbelt covers?

Car: 90 formula, 89 formula 350 vert
Engine: 305, 355
Transmission: T5, t56
Axle/Gears: 3:45 9 bolt, 8.8 3:73
Undrilled nos front seatbelt covers?
Just curious Did NOS seatbelt covers ever come without screw holes in them? Got ahold of these and the guy said they were new gm but the other new set I have had the holes drilled. Was this some kind of available option for perfect alignment on your car or an old aftermarket molding?

I have several pairs of these and I've noticed that none of the holes are uniform.They don't line up with the ones that are currently on my convertible

These parts were made by ASC. All of the original ones I’ve seen are all so random as far as the screw hole placement goes on these. It is my guess that the holes were drilled when they were installed on the car. They are concaved holes iirc.

Even the screws are sometimes different type from side to side, maybe that's one reason Pontiac held off offering a vert until things were a bit better.

I have always thought these were hand drilled to each car as the piece was put in place. What you are describing confirms it for me. Repetitive positions were not in ASC's toolbox.

I noticed that the screw locations were completely different from side to side for the rear seat trim. My Right side has 2 more screws in it than my left, It was like the guy on the Right side of the car did not know what the guy on the left side of the car was doing. The quality on one side is slightly better for fit, than the other... It was one guy had enough coffee and the other just got covfefe...
