87 Z28 Tonneau weatherstripping question
Hey guys, so I cannot find the weatherstripping for underneath the tonneau
cover which is on the body and not the cover (see photos). All I have spoken to tell me they haven't seen that before and the tonneau itself has the weatherstripping and not the body. However, my car is obviously different in that case. If anyone knows where I can get it or knows the name of it I would gladly appreciate it.

Ok, so where do I find this universal weatherstripping? Also, does this mean the tonneau itself also had weatherstripping glued to it as well?

yes the tonneau cover has a weatherstrip that's double side tapped to the underside

the u trim moulding from asc i believe was something like this
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Auto-Rubber...ss!22310!US!-1
those links on ebay are just some randoms i looked up real quick to show some examples. several companies make the tonneau weatherstrip , i just installed a softseal brand tonneau weatherstrip on my vert and it worked out good. the u trim is available in multiple sizes from various places , asc used the good old school stuff with the metal in it.

Re: 87 Z28 Tonneau weatherstripping question
I don't have that universal weatherstripping on my 88 either. Just the seal on the back of the top itself, and the seal on the tonneau as you can see in the pics.
I've never had any leaks, and I might be wrong about that the seal you have in that location, but since it is under the tonneau, I don't what it would be sealing.
Maybe ASC did put it on the 87's as they seemed to change things on the verts as they went along.
I also attached a pic of the tonneau seal, along with a fairly comprehensive list of the different seals for our cars with a link to that page. Don't know about the quality/price of Metro Moulded stuff, just providing for info.
