Re: seat belt

Ebay? Seems there are still a lot of NOS belts out there for the convertibles.

Re: seat belt

If you can't find one, these folks repair and recondition belts and mechanisms.

safetyrestore.com

I used them for new webbing and they did an excellent job. I sent them the belts and mechanisms and they re-webbed and restored them both with a quick turn around and reasonable price.

Re: seat belt

NOS and used belts for verts come up on Ebay, but color/side varies all the time. NOS are generally expensive for our verts:

Curious on the safetyrestore.com belts, what did it cost you, and do they look like OEM?

Re: seat belt

I had both of my front seat belt retractors redone by Safety Restore and I don't recommend them. They scarred up the plastic housing removing the rivets for the retracting mechanisms and the stitching on the new webbing looks like it was done by a drunken baboon - it doesn't look anything like the factory stitching and the amount of stitching was minimal with plenty of skipped stitches, to the point that I questioned how it would hold up in an accident. I had to take them to a local upholsterer to reinforce the stitching for additional $$$. Caveat emptor.
