Convertible Headliner
Convertible Headliner
I have a 89 Convertible and looking to replace my top. My current setup does not have a headliner. I noticed in my search the 90-92 convertibles have a headliner. What is the difference between 89 and 90 to where i couldn’t use the 90 headliner? Maybe someone knows?

Re: Convertible Headliner
Supposedly the headliner was optional on 89 models. Mine has it, there are subtle differences in the frames over the years. Theres probably a pretty good chance you could fit one, but dont quote me on that.

Re: Convertible Headliner
I have been told that the tops for 89 are the same as the 90+ except for the headliner. Whether that is true, I cannot honestly tell you. I know I snagged some parts off of a 91 top and they went on just fine.

Re: Convertible Headliner
I swapped a nice top and frame from a 91 rs onto my 89 iroc. The 91 top has the headliner.Only difference I noticed is the back of the top is a bit wider and I have to push it down into the well when I put the top down

Re: Convertible Headliner
I have a 91 and my top has to be pushed down also. I have the headliner also. Maybe that is one reason it has to be pushed down because of the extra material?
