Northern Radiators

For all of you who want a good radiator but are sick of being price gouged, check this out!

www.northernfactory.com

They sell a 2 row 1" tube auto tranny direct fit radiators for our cars that will support 400+ HP and only costs $325. That beats the cr@p out of BECOOL or GRIFFIN.

Wow, I must recind my prior statement. I bought a Northern radiator and attempted to install it last night. I thought the fit was horrible. Very disappointing! The lower tray would not accept the radiator, the lower hose outlet hit the body, the upper hose pushed into the A/C compressor, the radiator barley fit the chassis, the upper shroud wasn't even close, an my twin fans hit the core. Sheesh! I guess that outrageous 600+ dollars BeCool wants might be worth something. Gonna return my Rad today and get a BeCool when I have the money. I hope this helps those that wanted some more info.

You'll have a lot of the same problems with a Becool radiator of the same dimensions.

I lightly modified the lower rad. support and I'm guessing you have a V-belt system so I can't help you there. The upper shroud mods were a piece of cake and it still has nearly all of it's strength.

Spacing out the electric fan with washers works well for a single fan and I imagine it would for a dual stock setup as well.

Overall, I figure for 1/2 the price the it's just as good as the becool, and the install was just an afternoons work and I've had no problems since.

It's a nice piece, if you can make if work go for it, but do more research on the becool, I think you might need to do some similar work to make it fit, not to mention Kandied mentioned he had problems with making the fittings work and now supposively becool fixed them.
