A/C
Th previous owners of my 86 TA had completly ripped out everything to do with the AC. How much do you think it would cost to go out and get everything for the AC and probably have it put in because neither I or any of my family or friends know how to mess with the AC.
And does the heat work with the AC? Meaning if I don't have anything for the AC I won't have heat for the winter either?

Re: A/C
Let's see, quick and dirty here (rough prices, some are a little hi some a little low)
condenser - $150 (in front of radiator )
compressor - $200-250
evaporator - $120 (inside part )
A/C manifold - $50 to ??? (from compressor to accumulator and condensor)
accumulator - $30 (attaches to evap at firewall)
plus a hi pressure and a low pressure switch probably about $30 each
plus PAG oil $8, r134a (I think 2 cans) ....$7- $11 ?
and o-ring kit couple a bucks.
some autozones loan vacuum pumps. (check the pumps oil level first)
I'm sure I missed something... it all adds up quick.
OH, there is a hard line that runs from the condenser to the evap... you'll probably have to hit a JY for that .
and the heat works completely separate from the AC
