noisy A/C compressor
Opinions on whether this is "normal" for a 1988 V6?
That rapidly-pulsating and slightly metallic "bizt-bizt-bizt-bizt-bizt-bizt" sound is pretty intense.
Control levers set on MAX cooling in the vid.
This system is already converted to R134.

IMO normally when the AC is off and you have metal issues it's clutch plate.
Sounds pretty darn loud to me. Yours might have bearings going bad. Does it make noise when the AC isn't turned on?
