I shorted the diagnostic port under my dash to see if it could tell me why my fuel pump wasnt coming on. (the fuel pump actually works). But when i did it, i didnt even get code 12, it would just blink really fast off and on. And everytime it blinked, the fan would turn on or off. Also the fan stays on whenever in the run position when the engine hasnt even been ran. The fuel pump wont come on also, so the car wont start.

Bad ECM??? Any ideas???

 

I've never heard this specific sequence of errors, but the fast SES flashing I've only seen when running an engine with either:

1.) The EEPROM missing
2.) The ECM diagnostic pin grounded

You could try removing & reseating the chip to see if that helps. Other than that -- without seeing the car, I'd say it's the ECM or a short on the harness.
