Production Prom code Issues

Hey all, this is my first issue with an ECM. getting a code 42, checked it all out and it seems to be the ECM.

What I have is a ECM with part # 1227165 which I have searched the site and noticed that this is correct for my L98 TPI. What I am confused about is, the Prom code. The one I have is 9356ANYF. Is this right or should it be a 3516APYU or a AUJM0580? Acccording to the list I pulled from the site it doesn't matter which one of these. My question is....does the Production PROm code matter?

Thanks

My head hurts

Re: Production Prom code Issues

Id like to know too, I have two irocs both with 165 ecm's, but one car is a 305 and the other is a 350. I am currently using the 305 ecm and prom in the 350 car, and everything seems ok. But is this ok?
