single wire O2 and headers
single wire O2 and headers
Do most of you guys install a heated O2 instead of the stock 1 wire on a TBI car when you installed header? I installed the Hooker 2055's and I think the 02 might not be getting enough heat to read correctly. Any one do a tune after adding headers?
If you did, did you just ground one heater wire and run the other to a switched 12 volts?

Good idea going heated when going to headers.
I went single non heated to 3 wire heated on my 87 and
Hap Automotive in Attica In. made me up an adapter that
just plugs into your stock single plug to the 3 wire heated
and then just run ground to block in my case and hot to
key switched 12 volt.
Ordered bunch of sensor connectors from him and was an
option he offered to convert.
Might give him a call if interested.

I did it just the way you described it. Works great and am still using it today in all three... soon to be 4 cars
