tunercat Q? open loop idle

i ran all OL last late summer fall. i took a VE table that was 126-130 accross the board in my data logging CL and added fuel 5% at a time and ran OL exclusively. car ran better the more fuel i added. i also added xtra fuel where i saw lean on WB even though i thought i was reading 124 in data log repeatedly in those cells when i flipped back CL. showed very lean spikes when CL cruising and never richer than 14.7/1.

idle quality near perfect OL. will never be perfect.

AE much improved. TC added lag filter values and suggested a larger value bring in fuel faster. .15 in stock bi and i never changed till last week ran .50 and fuel came in quicker and AE was even better.

down side. my fuel mileage sufferred.

flipped to CL past week and datalogged and found blms 114 in the cells i added xtra fuel(800-1600 rpms and high map over 60) and 120-122 in the remaning cells.

now car is showing its bad side. IAC is active at idle with subsequent surge. surging at cruise with little load on engine. crawling in parking lot it lurches a bit. i need to log with WB but it not working a sensor shot. i suspect 128 will show lean on WB.

whant to run CL due to fuel enomy but engine loves rich OL. NB02 sensor is bosch. 4 years old. maybe a GM is a better idea????

anyone know how to run OL at idle only? in datalog i believe i am seeing CL flag. TC has a constant mph to allow OL. i think set to 3 mph. does that mean over 3 mph it is OL? and idle it is CL ??

i dont know hex edit....
