You need to look at the letters and number on the chip itself (inside the blue cover...on the largest chip) You can usually see it through the round hole in the blue cover. Here is what to look for (blue cover removed)... The label you will see will not be green (thats mine).

Whatever it is, erase it and go with the ARAP BIN. You will have to jetison your cold start injector though.

I just installed the ARAP bin on a buddy's 305 5-Speed by changing the Transmission Switch from Automatic to Manual, and changing the injector constant to 19.5.

Worked beautifully and with very good BLM/INT values. So damn close in fact, that I told him he should monitor for a long period of time as it is so close.

The only glitch appears to be the Fan works constantly. I just found that the "N.O. Fan Req. Input" is not switched on in the ARAP Bin. He had to leave, but if I set that Switch On, I am positive his fan will work properly. Unfortunately, the "N.O. Fan Req Input" switch is not currently defined in the 6E.TDF (yet), so you need to download Tuner Cat's TDF Editor (free for 30 Days) and define it on the 6E.TDF.

Also, I found there is no "Desired Idle Speed vs Coolant" defined on the 6E.TDF. I added one of those too to the 6E.TDF as he had a manual car and the ARAP is actually designed around an Automatic. But it is EASILY changed to work great for a 5-speed.

Glenn,
You may want to see if your buddy could use the 89 vette 6speed chip APYP. I used that when the MAF system was still hooked up. It works very well. Better than the ARAP, since i have a manual tranny car. If you compare the spark tables, they are about the same if i recall.
