Low BLM#'s
Low BLM#'s
Ok this may be a bit of a dumb question but if I understand what i have read, If i have a blm of 108 that means that I need to reduce my Ve tables in that area by 1.19 right?? I keep reading that this means the ecm thinks that there is a rich condition and it is removing fuel?? is that right?? So that would mean the the more efficient you have your Ve tables set to the more fuel the ecm will add?? Example- If my ve is say 65 at 1200rpm at 50map and my blm is 108 that means that I should reduce the Ve table to 54.62 and that should correct the blm to something a little better right?? Thanks for helping out a newbie

Not to hijak, but my 93 LT1 is showing low BLMs like this at idle. Now I have a stroker and a 230/236 cam, so would doing the same thing you did raise my BLMs? And help get rid of the fuel smell(LT's no cats).
Re: Low BLM#'s
My engine won't idle in closed loop...the O2 keeps registering rich and the computer wants to pull fuel until it surges like hell.
I switched to open loop idle and it works well...I think it's the cam profile with mine, probably the same with yours.
My cam is 212/222 at .050

Re: Low BLM#'s
Just so you know my cam is 212/218 duration and I have no problems idleing in closed loop/ exept for the headers cool of the o2 and it switches back and forth depending on the exhaust temp. Steve40th I'm not good enough at tuning to give you that kind of advice. But I would think that you could reduce your ve's at idle and see what happens. What fuel pressure/bpw are you using??
