ECM Base timing

I was messing with my initial timing... My cam the comp XE284 likes 18* BTDC, so I set it for that on the timing tab with the EST disconnected.. The I looked in the Bin and it was different so I changed it to 18* BTDC as well... Is this the correct method to have the Bin base timing match the timming tab??????
