Re: $8D-T Test bin

I'll be testing it this month I hope. I'm basically down to exhaust from the turbos back, oil lines and figuring out some form of boost control.

I'm also gonna be sending a donation to help keep you working on this project.

Re: $8D-T Test bin

Eventually I’d like to get an Arduino to chat with the ecu for boost control and other fun things.

Re: $8D-T Test bin

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong on downloading Adx file but I'm getting nothing.
I'm clicking on the file, hitting save file then in TP hot import def from ads... nothing

The car is running on your test bin but I have only idled and hot the throttle a couple time. I'm using the S_AUJP v5 2030_D_2-WBo2 Innovate LC-1 ADX since i can't get your going. For some reason I have lost wb02. I can't even get it to show up when I flash my old tune back in it. Nothing has changed with the wb controller or ecm so I don't know whats happened there. I flashed in $59 and the wb works with it. It was working fine the last time I logged before the turbos. I don't know and I'm over it for a few days.

Re: $8D-T Test bin

I don’t know how or where they store the wideband reading in ram. Chances are it’s completely different which is why it’s not working.
Pm me your email and I can send you files directly.

Re: $8D-T Test bin

Its not just with your files. I can't get it to work even with the old tune, pre-Vanilla Ice.

Its gonna be something silly since it works fine with $59.

Re: $8D-T Test bin

Currently using code 59 in my turbo sunbird and Im wishing I could go back to 8D based code. Fought the rolling idle, somewhat stabilized. Tried the CL with the WBO2, meh. It doesn't lock the BLM to 128 for PE and AE, so Im going back to open loop. Fuel strategy kinda goofy, not very simple and requires a lot of thought before making a change. Im just not that impressed with it. If I had the Gucci S_AUJP with 3 bar id be happy. Seems like your 8T is very similar. Does your calibration have 1 to 2/3 bar table switching? Id love to have the off-boost resolution back, that's one thing I liked about the EBL SFI-6 when I had it. Also, running the 7749 ECM with 72lb low Z injectors. Cant remember but I think I have to move a wire around, or two? In any case, I appreciate what you have done with 8D!

Re: $8D-T Test bin

The BLM locking is quite easy to do.
This only runs 1 MAP as it's currently configured. It wouldn't be too difficult to add a second MAP and coding to choose one based off of MAP readings but I won't do it until it's shown necessary by a test mule.

Re: $8D-T Test bin

I'm not all that concerned with wideband closed loop. $59 is a pain with all the fuel tables and PE fuel is low res, the rpm adder table doesn't work, the IAT inverse table is odd to me, etc. If there is a spot on the main VE table that is not right, I have to all but start over again. Super AUJP was so nice, and I'd like to tune this car with it. $59 only has one fan option and I have 4 fans for the cooling system, they are smaller but I still would like to have them staged so the sudden draw doesn't shock load the alternator that much.

Its now necessary. I'm a sixer maf going to 730 from a 302. I made a harness to play with so I don't go completely down while I work out the bugs. The car starts and runs with it. I have not drove it yet, and this looks like my ticket. I am boosted. The maf took in nine pounds and will run great till 12ish. I had it after bov and I blew one apart. So it is before turbo now and is not the happiest camper. I am at this time only running around with five psi. I can't get into the $59 site it's down, gm site won't let me in, and the efi site looks to be long gone. And ALL my files were wiped off the laptop, it took a 💩. And I now need to start over. I have an emulator, and a three bar map, and need to find my wideband. If not I'll yank one out of the Honda.

Can I recommend also leaving the one bar bin? I'd like to see how it's done. I am tearing into xdf files to see how they work. And was working on $88. I gotta say, this stuff is WAY different then tuning a Honda. I have tons of those under my belt. But if I figure out what all is going on here, I want start playing around with these files. I screwed around quite a bit back in the day with dso and pgmfi. I played a part, but not life changing stuff if you know what I mean.
I have also adjusted the bin to a sixer as of now, and I am playing with it. If it's doable, I'll have it going in on the weekend, and I think I have a one bar kicking around on a lt1 intake. If not I'll yank a Honda one, and that one is running a gm theee bar map off a turbo trans am. I had that car running on 22 pounds.
no one else has done it yet, I will. I might tweak a few things on lunch Tomorrow, and load a bin up on a mem as well.

Anybody run this under boost yet? After 7 years I'm going to tune this car. Still stock, but want to optimize it.
