Is the headlight motor supposed to spin when...
I am having problems with my driver's side headlight door. When reconnecting the battery after working on another circuit, the driver's side motor spins for like 15-20 seconds and then stops. Is it supposed to do this??
Now, it only comes up sometimes with no problems, sometimes in increments, and other times not at all. It always goes down though.
I searched the boards and thought about the gears being stripped, but if that is so, would it still behave this way?? I had no problems with it today.
Thanks for any info and help on this.

My 91's left headlight did that when I bought it. It would spin when the power was restored, and if you listn closely, when you turn it on and off. I replaced the motor. I think it was $40
