Fog Light trouble, I need help!

OK, i have a 91 z28 and ever since i have gotten it, the fog lights have worked perfectly fine. About 3 weeks ago i noticed that they were not on anymore when i was driving at night even when the switch was on. So the next morning i went to check them and they werent on and so i looked under the hood touched a few wires and they still werent on but then i waved my hand in front of them and they worked(wow magic). So they worked for about 2 days and then i had them on and i was on a road and every time i hit a bump they went off then i hit another bump and they went on...and then they went off and never came back on. I can't get them back on either. The green light on the switch works...all the wires seem to be hooked up and i dont think it is the lights because why would they both die at the exact same time and why would they flicker and not work. I think it is a wiring problem but i cant see where. Could the switch be bad? Could it be the power relay? I have no idea so could someone please help me. Thanks a lot

You mentioned two of the possible problems... the switch could be bad, my switch never showed me the green light (that LED was burned out) and it could also be the relay (which I believe is mounted somewhere on the firewall). Try also tracing your wiring back as far as possible, it could be from a frayed wire. I had problems with mine when I first got my car, but the problem turned out to be that one of the fog light housings was rusted so there was a bad contact for the ground, worked intermittently then stopped altogether - so I had enough and replaced them with aftermarkets... turned out damn good.

I have aftermarket ones but they were on when I bought the car and the guy before me did some messed up wiring. I think it might be the relay but im not sure. The lights might just be burnt out but they are not even that old so i dont see how they could be. I tracedall my wires accept for this little red one that goes in the front above the foglights and then I can't see it anymore. Oh well i am gona keep trying thanks.

even though i dont have fog lights yet i would guess maybe a bad connection somewhere, like loose ground connection or something i that nature, check ur fuse also.
