Aftermarket Air/Fuel guage

What is everyone's opinion on aftermarket A/F ratio guages with their own wide band O2 sensors? I need to buy one for my malibu, so I thought I'd get everyone's input first. Any of them particularly crappy or inaccutate? Thanks.9

I don't think there are any with WBO2 sensors.

Sorry, my mistake. I just took another look at the Edelbrock A/F guage in Summit, and there's only two wires going to the O2 sensor. At first glance it seemed like more. Any opinions on the Edelbrock or any others? I'm leaning more toward the Digital Summit guage or the Nordskog.

The Autometer LED A/F gauge is a very nice, accurate gauge. In fact, it's too accurate. It reads so well, it shows what the O² sensor is putting out almost realtime. This made for a very jumpy reading and in my opinion is a waste of money when combined with the naturally inaccurate narrow-band sensors that come equipped on our cars. I sent it back and got the Intellitronix version (back when they were Intellitronix). It reads a lot better just because it "averages" out the jumpy readings.

Thanks for the reply Jza. I don't remember seeing the intelletronics guage. Is it the same as the Nordskog or the Summit guage? I'm putting the guage in my malibu, to help me with carb tuning, so I'll have to get the O2 sensor kit too. Any thoughts on that?

Nord-Skog bought out Intellitronix a while back. So it's the same gauge with a few in-house improvements by now probably.

I'm not so sure about the Summit gauge, though I know most of Summits parts are just re-labled products from other manufacturers. It could very well be a N-S or one of their competitors' products with a Summit packaging.

From my experience with Summit, they very rarely pick a crap product to re-sell, and they get a great price I assume, because they buy in bulk.

Thanks, Jza. Looks like I'll be getting the Summit guage.
