Another after-swap-wiring question

Okay, on the A/C compressor there are 2 conectors, one in front, just behind the pulley, and one on the rear. Both have a green wire that are conected to each other, then this green wires goes to the ECM. Can anyone tell me what the controls? Can I wire this up differently if it is something I need?

Thanks,

The green wire is the power lead off of the PRESSURE CYCLING SWITCHes it engages the clutch at a certain pressure, and disengages when pressure falls(low freon,)or gets too high It is also a signal to the ECM that A/C request is on(I think this regulates fans and idle) the power from this can be traced directly to the HVAC controls in the interior

The switch on the rear of the compressor is the HIGH PRESSURE CUT OFF switch. It opens when the pressure exceeds 430 psi and dis-engages the clutch to prevent damage.

The connector on the front of the compressor is the CLUTCH ENGAGE, it is the one that actually turns on the A/C.

Your '91 A/C is similuar to this wiring link here: http://www.geocities.com/vtcamaro/Pi...rams/pg231.jpg

The CLUTCH CYCLING SWITCH is on the accumulator, it turnes the compressor off when the pressure drops below 29 psi, as when the system is low and needs a re-charge.

Thanks guys. I got the engine running, but my gauge problems need fixed first. It is cooling off here, so I won't need the A/C.

Thanks again,
