Common power lock problem?
My power locks don't seem to have enough power to lock the doors like they should. The passenger side one works a little better than the drivers one. Do i just need to replace the power lock motors? I've tried greasing the linkage but it doesn't help. Thanks for any help.

Usually the rattle clips that hold the lock rod to the door are what holds the lock up. If you pop the rod out & clean it real well with a thinner & use a light grease like white lithium, it should solve your problem.
If the boot on the soloniod is in bad shap than the piston area could be getting dirty/rusty.
On my car I stuffed a towel inside the door undet the lock mechanish & cleaned it using carb spray cleaner. After letting it dry & gave it a good coating with some aerosol white lithium. Have yet to have any more problems so far.
If you're convinced you've lubed all the parts the best you can, then maybe the solonoid is to dirty/rust to wrok properly anymore and it's time to replace it

When i hit the button the arm on the motor doesn't seem to go straight up. It kind of tilts to the side a little. If i hold it straight and hit the button everything seems to work right. I think i'm gonna try cleaning everything out to see if that fixes things. That's cheaper than buying parts.
