Power windows slowing down

Anybody know what causes this????

Car: 1988 Trans Am GTA
Engine: 5.0 TPI
Transmission: TH700-R4
Axle/Gears: 3.27
Lack of lubrication in the mechanism. If you dare to venture inside the door, just lubricate the tracks with some grease.
The motor does not loose speed so this is the only thing that will slow it down.

Thanx OZ.

I had the door panels almost off and then was stymied by something holding the panel securely in place up by the window.

Dare I go back and try again??

Just wanted to let everybody know that I replaced the power window motor using the directions in the article

What a godsend. The shops I called wanted between 200 and 300 bucks to do this job.

Lithium grease. I bought mine at Walmart.

The grease idea worked for the passenger window (maybe buying a litle time) but the driver window motor was shot.
