the column of my 91 camaro was busted into, and the highbeam switch was broken, the level still moves back and forth like it should, and everything else on it works, but no click click and no hi beams, i tried looking around the lever to see how the high beams work to no evail. any ideas how i can fix this?

You have to take the cover off the bottom of the dash under the steering wheel. With that off you should see a long metal rod, looks like a hanger wire almost, that goes down to the push on/push off high beam switch. Unfortunately GM didn't build in a way to adjust it if the rod has been damaged but with mine, which wore out, I put a very small wad of paper into the switch where the rod goes to componsate for the rod bending out of shape over time. Good Luck!

actually the switch is adjustable. there are two 8mm bolts on the bracket with the switch that can be loosened and the switch can be moved closer. not sure if its like this on all of them but thats the way my 90 bird is.
