double speedo mod?
i got a 83 camaro and it has the double speedo with KPH on one side and MPH on the other the kph is on the left and out here in canada we use kph. i was wondering if i cut the other needled for mph and remove the pin at the top so it wont stop then remove the mph on the other side and just continued with the kph would the needle keep going all the way around and be correct??

nope...
the way that speedo works is the needle is balanced with both pointers....
if you remove one half of the needle, the speedometer will not work properly if at all. previous owner of my 84 sc tried it.
if you want a higher speedometer, i think es87iroc has a 160mph unit with the kph in the 82-84 patttern, check the classifieds.

Strange, mine work just fine with half of it cut off. Added some custom white faced guages(printed with photo paper. I considered the problem with 'weight' of the needle and figured if it didn't work I'd just get a single pointer.
