Hooking up tach. . .
Ok I am putting a new tach in my car the stock one is reading to damn high. Where is the best place to connect the green wire? I would like to just unhook the factory tach so if I could just use the wire that went to it that would be cool, let me know what yall think.
Thanks
Thanks
yeah if you are unhooking the factory tach, and if your ignition is still using the factory coil and connectors, you can hook it up to the factory lead. One of the two connectors going into your coil comes out of the harness on the firewall. (the other runs to the distributor). the white wire going into this connector (the harness connector) is the factory tach wire. cut it off and connect your green wire in its place.

Alright I will follow the white wire going into the harness and see where it goes in side the car and cut and connect the green wire to it, sounds easy enough, Thanks for the help will make it much easier.

Yea I got ya and get this, the white wire coming from the coil had a inline connector on it already so all I had to do was unhook it and put a male spade connector on my green wire and it works like a charm, I LOVE IT!!! That was so easy. Thanks.
