91 Hatch release motor
Does this thing have anything to do with the center console plug? I mean if I took the center console out completely unplugging those two plugs, would it still function? If not I know why mine isn't working then, if so, DAMN IT! Which fuse governs this thing?

Hello Pasky,
How did the new paint job go? There is two fuses for the hatch, the "ACC" fuse is for the hatch release and the "LID" fuse is for the hatch release/pull down assembly. If you have the hatch release button on the center console, it will have a brown wire coming off the hatch release relay to it and a tan/white wire coming off it and going to the parking brake switch since you have a manual. The parking brake must be set to the first detent for the hatch release to work. Do you need the diagram? Also don't forget to connect the wires in the cargo area.

Ok cool, i'll have to check those fuses then. Nah I think i've seen the diagram on here before. The plugs on the hatch release were never touched, infact, the whole rear of the car was never touched. I have a feeling its a blown fuse. Its at the body shop now and i'll be heading there tomorrow because I went by today to pickup my tail lights to take them home and polish them and the damn hatch release wasn't working and was wondering if its because the button wasn't hooked up.
Never had a problem with this thing and im hoping its just the fuse that blew. Anyways, thanks trickster. The car is coming along very nice, the carpet and 2 racing seats are in and look awesome. They are sanding it down this weekend and fixing any imperfections on the car, putting the rear high rise spoiler, new front spoiler and hopefully should have the car back in about a week and a half. Thanks again trickster.
