Hello, i have been searching this topic for a few hours now and i cant seem to find the exact information that i need. I have an 85 Firebird with the raised ridge style tail lights, and i am wishing to swap to 89-92 firebird taillights, which had the red brake lights above the orange turn signal bar. Yesterday i pulled that lights and center section from the yard. There are different amount of sockets with different priorities between the older talilights and the newer style tail lights. I tried testing my 85s wires for voltage when the blinker and brakes were applied along with the running lights. When i pulled the lights i also cut the bulb sockets and wiring for the sockets. As far as i can see the wire colors from my 85 harness have no correlation to that of the newer style sockets. I dont have any real preferance to which of them flash and dont flash while turning but i definatly dont want to have the orange turn signal to illuminate while hitting the brakes. If anyone could post the wiring diagram for the 85 firebird taillights, or can offer any insight to my dilemma it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks -Bob
