battery relocation, doubting myself

Because my understanding of countless posts has failed me before, I want to double check this one. I know the topic has been brought up countless times but there are so many posts about it now, you can't really get a clear answer. What I am trying to do is put my battery in the trunk. Here's my undersdtanding of all the searching and reading I have been doing. BTW i'm not worried about being track legal yet, just safe and properly functional.
-Mount the battery in the spare tire well
-Ground the negative terminal to the frame/body with 2ga. wire
-Run a 2ga. positive wire from the old terminal connection(under the hood) to the positive terminal on the battery
-Make sure there is a ground from battery to frame, frame to body, and frame to engine

Am I missing anything? I read a lot about other components but are they neccesary if I am not taking it to the track? Like I said, I can't trust myself lol. Thanks guys

Sounds like you've got it figured out. I moved my batt last year and it's worked flawlessly since. The new positive cable from the battery went straight to the starter and I simply left the old cable in place, tucked away after wrapping with elec tape. Sorry, no pics...kids dropped my camera

So you didnt have to run a positive line to your power junction box? I was thinking of basically just extending the stock positive cable all the way to the trunk and grounding it back there.
