My starter tends to stick quite a bit. It was first just when the car was hot, now a lot more. The thing is that if I roll the car and release the clutch, I guess the flywheel moves enough for it to start.

I thought it may just need to be shimmed. I added a few the other day and it did not make a difference.

Is it just time to break down and buy a new starter?
