Short in R.P.M and Oil Pressure gauges

When I turn on the dash lights on my 84 Z28 my rpm and oil pressure gauges
short and read zero. I have removed the dash and the wiring and the circut
board look ok.If anyone has seen this problem before any help would be appreciated.

There is no short. Your switch (or any other light associated with that switch) is pulling too much power.
