Fuel gauge not working

Fuel gauge not working

My fuel gauge just sits at 3/4 of a tank and dosen't move but all my other guages work normally. anyone else had this problem?

I beleive that was about where mine showed the level when the float/sender were flopping around loose in the tank. You need to do a couple of checks first where you know the actual level in the tank to make sure it's not the gauge itself though.

If it's loose in the tank, you're in for some real fun (not).

In my case it turned out to be the wire on the sender in the tank fell off. I have it apart but I can't get it to stick back on there. I'm just going to take it out of one of my parts cars
