87 Fuel Pump relay

Can anybody give me a short cut to finding my Fuel pump relay so I can trace down the wire that is suppose to be hot at all times. I cannot seem to find it. Second which wire is suppose to be hot at all times?

Thanks

LEFT WAY TO THE RELAY

On the firewall you will see a couple of relays.

The fuel pump relay is the left one.

Re: 87 Fuel Pump relay

It's under the hood, on the firewall, by the driver side fender, next to the brake booster. There are multiple relays there.
The F/P relay has 5 wires: orange, red, green/white, black/white, tan/white.
The always-hot wire is the orange one.

If you need to troubleshoot your fuel pump circuit, here's an article: http://www.austinthirdgen.org/index.php?pid=35

Hope this helps.
