I realized about a week ago i didnt have reverse lights. cops where i live like to write tickets to light problems like that, one for tail light, one for license plate light. so i need to fix ASAP. im not sure how that wiring is done, so i dont even know where to begin to look. thanks

 

see if the bulbs are bad or the fuse first is it a stick or atuo then you'll have to check the reverse light switch depends on what tranny u have on the location of it

 

Well, it is a Automatic (boo!) and the bulbs arent bad. I had to replace the brake light switch, so maybe it is the switch, but i dont know how, or even where it is. lol

 

The switch for the reverse lights is in the center console, on the shifter assembly. You can remove the shifter plate to access it.
The switch has 6 wires, find the blue and gree thin pair, that's for your back-up lights.
The blue wire has 12V with key on. The green wire sends power to the bulbs in the back when the gear selector is moved to "R". Check the power on the wires with a test ligth or a multimeter.

Not sure about Indiana state specific safety inspection rules but back-up lights are usually considered a convenience feature, not a safety feature. You can check your local safety inspection rules and make sure whether back up lights are required.
