tach not working

I have switched to a vaccum advance distributor and now the tach isnt working. The single wire is hooked to the coil/distrib. Do the tachs run through the ecu?

Re: tach not working

The cc dist had a wiring harness connected to it - there should be a white wire and a pink wire in that harness (I think these are the colors) - these need connected to the new distributor. Search HEI distributor or check the tech article on carb swap.
