Hey guys.

im almost done with my car alarm/remote start.

i'm just having some trouble programming the remote transmitters.

was hoping someone here could help explain what i need to do in a language i can understand better or tell me what im doing wrong.

im attaching the program manual for my audiovox prestiege aps-787 alarm/starter system

i was able to program buttons 1 and 2 (lock and unlock or arm and disarm)

but the 3rd button i cannot figure out. it is meant for trunk release and remote starter.

so i need help on how to program button 3 and im all done.

also step one says put key in ON postion then press program button 3 times. this doesnt work. my last alarm system i had to turn key on then off but leave the key in. then press the program button.

this worked for me to program buttons 1 and 2.

step 7 says hit program button but nothing happens when i do this and do i need to go back to step one before i do this? just very confusing and i cannot pop my trunk or remote start the car without doing this.

so any help would be great thanks guys.
