Headlights Dont Work??

Hey my headlights dont work and I cant figure out why. All the lights work I put them in my other camaro to make sure. I have replaced the headlight switch but havent really known what else to look for. Anyone with some experience working with electrical stuff wanna help me out cause I cant drive at night.. 1989 Camaro

Take a scrap piece of wire and hook it to the green wire on driver side headlight, then touch it to the + on the battery.

If they pop upand come on, its wiring elsewhere.

had to jimmy rig mine like that once before to get home.

No Lights, Outa Site !

He knows the lamps are good, he tested them.

Therefore Reyman, use voltmeter or test light
(the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester) to probe the 12 AWG red wire going to the headlight switch.

Is there power there?

Yes. Because there is no power there, the fusible probably blew.

The fusible link is located near the starter solenoid.

I found the fusible link and there is some exposure and part of it is all taped do I have to take the whole wire out??

The Missing Link ‼‼‼‼ A Scary Movie

First check both sides of the fusible link with your meter or test light.

One side should have power, and the other side shouldn’t if the link is bad.

If that’s the findings replace the link.

Fusible links are available at auto parts stores.
