start no idle
car is a 91 rs 305 tbi. car wouldnt start replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, oil pressure sending unit, and relay. found a red wire going from pos battery cable to junction block blown completely, so i replaced that as well. now the fuel pump will prime and the car will start but it dies as soon as i stop giving it throttle. and the replaced red wire gets suspiciously hot. the pos battery cable is pretty burnt as well replacing that as soon as the sun comes up. what could be causing this problem? i also have a spare ecm in case that is the issue

Re: start no idle
This code might not pop up as a check engine light but check to see if the wires are somehow broken on the anti theft system. It is two wires that runs from the key switch. I believe they are black and white and they are separated from the rest of the wiring. If it is that you can either run new wires from the lock cylinder(requires tearing it apart and some soddering, but not difficult) or you can get resistance ohms from an auto parts store and connect them in between the two anti theft wires to match up the resistance that your key would put out. So check out the anti theft and let us know if that solved the problem.
