n00b question about gauges
my 89 camaro has some aftermarket gauges installed right now and im looking at one of these kits- http://www.classicdash.com/shopping/...er-Gauges.html the gauges installed right now are all mechanical (no aftermarket speedo and mine is not working so not sure if it is mechanical) but i would much rather switch to electric gauges, if i grab one of the kits that comes with all need sending units and a wiring harness would the sending units fit in my 350 or do i need to stick with mechanical?

Re: n00b question about gauges
Since it's specifically for a chevy (ie camaro), and all chevy stuff is the same, the senders would be fine. Did you read the online tech specs and directions?

That's alot of money for guages! I know, thier Autometer and thus expensive - but still ... I didn't pay that much for my entire 350 engine carb to pan!
If it were me, I'd snag an entire cluster off ebay or Hawks or something, reconnect stock factory guages, and save that cash for a better tranny - from what I read that T5 won't hold up forever behind that motor.

Re: n00b question about gauges
didnt see i had a reply sorry, thanks for the info, i had not yet read that, ya its a bit expensive, i would rather hook up the stock gauges but when the motor was swapped from tbi to carb the wiring harness was "cleaned up", IE it would take me forever to find the wires as all the ends of them have been cut off and the wires tucked back into the looms, i will check ebay, the only clusters i have found on hawks are just as expensive, are there cheaper ones im missing? again, thank you for the reply
