91 Camaro Wiring
My headlights work on highbeam all four lights are lit. When i go to low beam no lights are lit. If the drivers side is out will that cut current to the passenger side? I could only reach in to the passenger side to check with the meter and it reads no current. I'm not sure about the driver side. Like I said if the driver is blown would it stop the passenger from working. Also are the low beam bulbs dual filament? Are all four supposed to be lit when the high beams are on?

I'm pretty sure they are not in the same cicuit so if one goes out the other should stay lit. The bulbs aren't dual filament, 2 for lowbeam and 2 for highbeam. All four will be on when the highbeams come on. I would say check the wiring or maybe even the headlight switch itself. Do your parking lights come on when you pull the headlight switch?

So basically the low beams just stay on when the high are on they don't get brighter like 4 high beam bulbs. everything works as it should just not the low beams. If they are all 4 on when my high beams are on then the low beams wouldn't be burnt out correct?

I also wouldnt think it would be the headlight switch because the lights work not the low beams though. is it possible the high low switch on the column by the pedals is bad?

Yea they just stay on when your highs come on. Bulbs arent burt if they come on with the highs. Look into the high/low switch like you said. Other than that switch and the headlight/parking lamp switch I cant think of anything else.

I'm going to do that. I'm starting with the cheaper of the two options the hi lo switch is only 12.95 the headlight is upwards of 40
