Transmission: NWC T5 1352-072
Axle/Gears: 3.73 (6HS)
What is this?

Not sure what this is, but my guess is some kind of sensor? It looks like it will screw out and once upon a time had two metal prongs sticking out of it for a plug. Anyone?

My guess is it's a fitting from another car that had a cts sensor there. Looks weird. O_o

Its cheaper than buying a new nipple. I agree someone using something they had in their toolbox bolt drawer.
