What is this?
I realize its not a fbody, but what is this little square with wires going into it? Its on a 87 el camino. I have been eliminating wires and all the emissions stuff since we just installed the new crate motor and I need to know if this is needed to make the car run or not.

map sensor and you may need it depending if the motor needs it, maf or map computer.

We are running a carb and the original hei distributor. Transmission is a th350 manual valve body with a brake. So I don't think we need a map?
