Negative Battery Lead Location ?
Hi All,
I am in the process of putting my engine back in my Firebird. It's nearly all done, however.........I cannot remember where the battery negative lead bolts to ?.
I have it marked as on the engine under the PS pump - is that right - shall I just hook it to one of the PS bracket bolts ?
BTW, Battery is located on the drivers side.
Thanks for someone to clarify so I dont attach it somewhere wierd.
Rhys.

There is a place for a bolt on the PS pump side of the crank pulley (just above the center line of the pulley). Should have a bolt in it about a 1/2" long with a 15mm head. Make sure that you clean the block around the hole, the cable eye, and the bolt up nice with a wire wheel or brush before you put the cable onto the block.
