Power Antenna Question
So last weekend, my power antenna would not come down, and the motor kept going continuously. I had to disconnect the relay behind the dash (fun) to get it to stop.
Right now, I have the antenna pulled all the way up, but I don't like the way it looks. Does anyone know of a way to manually retract it without damaging the antenna or the motor?
Eventually I might try to pull the wheel off, pull the fender lining (fun), and get to the motor to fix it. A search for possible causes of my problem on TGO suggest a snapped nylon cord (the one that raises and lowers the antenna) as a possible culprit. Since the car is nearly 25 years old, I'm inclined to agree with that.
