driver information center removal (DIC)
Hello to all, the bulb burned out in my DIC and i want to change it out ...i am able to get to the DIC from the front ,unscrew it but i cannot remove it. there is only about 1 inch of slack in the cable. If i remove the dashpad will i be able to reach down in and unplug it ? or do i have to remove the entire gauge cluster ?
i know it is the bulb, i can hold a flashlight up to it and i see it working.
i have read previous threads but with no real definitve answer. thank you any help would be appreciated.

This piece of the digital dash requires patience and a long thin screwdriver or pick to get it out. The harness has a retainer clip on the top of it that you have to press down on to get it to release while you pull the DIC out. Take a close look at the wiring connector through the little slot on the top of the DIC and you will see the connector and where you need to press down on the connector to get it to release.
