dizzy drawing 2-14v
As title says.. running a 305, holley carb eddy intake, ac delco point type dizzy with delco coil, ford tractor resistor..
Car runs and drives, but I'm thinking it may be the cause for my popping above 2k rpm.
Went and checked voltage at the resistor, with ignition on car off, I'm drawing 12.3 coil draws Nada. Fire her up.. resistor draws between 2 and 8, coil bounces between 2 and 6..
Wired a wire straight from the battery to the resistor, same results. Checked voltage at batt and alt to make sure my multimeter was working right, and it is.
Now..that can't possibly be right.. I didn't think it could even run at such low voltage..
My ignition is wired as such.
Batt + -> dip switch, switch -> 10a fuse, fuse -> resistor, resistor -> coil + and coil - to dizzy and tach.
