Blower motor conundrum

Hey guys.

So I have an 89 rs that originally came with AC. I removed the AC as it no longer worked and installed a factory metal non AC heater box.

Here is where the issue lies...when I hook the blower motor up and command it on from the control unit inside the car everything works fine and it spins with no issues. I have swapped the cage to the shallower non AC cage to work with the non AC box.

BUT when I bolt the blower motor and resistor into the box, it gives up and doesn't even try to spin. What am I missing?

Re: Blower motor conundrum

I aint no expert but in most electrical conundrums its grounds that are causing the problem. I work mainly on cars and trucks from the 70s but I have found that these 80s and 90s Camaros get ungrounded. don't trust in harness grounds . run a separate ground from the blower motor to the hood hinge or something else metal and see if that helps.
